Nu Trend was contracted as the bathroom renovations company in North Sydney by home owner Dan. He was getting tired of his old bathroom that felt dated and wanted a more modern design that included a solution to hide his washing machine and dryer to create a combined bathroom and laundry.

The owner of this home in North Sydney decided to go overseas for a holiday while we renovated his bathroom. To make this possible he had an interior designer create all the plans and layout for the bathroom.
This meant our bathroom renovations team in Sydney could work directly from the plans and build exactly what was designed for the room. We created a WhatsApp group to ensure communication flowed during the renovation.
The bathroom interior design plans meant that we had every exact item specified from tile set out, colours, styles of products and most importantly the position. As a bathroom renovations company in Sydney we can work with architect, builder or interior designer plans.
Renovation challenges
- The one issue we did face was in the plan there was a nib wall which was located under the shower head which was suppose to be used for shampoo bottles. As the shower head was on a rail with a hand held hose we noticed that the hose would hang and obstruct the bottles.
- We flagged this to the owner and decided to build the nib wall in a different location to the plans so that it would be more usable.
- The other issue we faced was, there was an existing floor drain joint which was leaking when tested. The issue was the drain was located below our renovation within the ceiling of the unit below.
- We had work with Strata to test, diagnose and fix this issue for the owner and the neighbour downstairs.
- Soft Beige and Light Grey: The large-format wall and floor tiles feature a muted beige to light grey tone, serving as the primary background colour. This neutral base adds warmth and depth to the space.
- Brushed Gold: Fixtures such as the taps, handles, and shower fittings are finished in brushed gold, introducing a subtle yet striking metallic accent that adds elegance and richness to the design.
- Muted Grey-White: The wall-hung vanity features textured drawer fronts in a soft greyish-white shade, complementing the neutral tones of the tiles.
This balanced palette combines warm and cool tones with clean whites and luxurious metallics, creating a harmonious and inviting space.

Instead of having a large circular drain with unusual cuts made to the floor tiles, we design the floor waste to not only capture the most amount of water, but blend into the floor tiling to give the room a discrete look, similar to what you would experience in a hotel or day spa.
